About Us
Desert Rock Preschool and childcare is a not-for-profit provider under the umbrella of Desert Rock Church located in Florence, Arizona. We are a DES contracted provider. We are accredited through Quality first/First Things First. We are a community of believers focused on 3 things:

Vision & Values
Vision/ Values: We embrace the Desert Rock Church Vision of “Jesus. Family. Life.” Everything we do is centered around this simple principle. If something is not bringing a child closer to God, encouraging healthy family interaction, or uncovering the child’s best life, then we don’t do it. Though we may not always overtly teach the Bible, we infuse Christ-like behaviors and Biblical character traits into all of our interactions. It is our mission to enrich your family life through providing trustworthy childcare and parent-staff collaboration.
Staff
Our staff is committed to living out and teaching Biblical principles such as kindness, patience, humility, respect, trustworthiness, community, and serving. We do not consider our time at Desert Rock Preschool as a job but as our purpose and gifting. Our calling is to have an authentic relationship with your family by caring for your child. We hold ourselves to a high standard of leadership. Our teacher's goal here at desert rock preschool is to help guide your children through their daily learning experiences and help prepare them for kindergarten. We offer age appropriate curriculum covering all of their basic academic needs, as well as, providing a safe, fun and nurturing environment. All of our teachers are current with CPR/1st Aid training, fingerprint clearance cards, background check, food handler's card. Along with all of the state of Arizona requirements, our teachers also have multiple years experience/training and education in Early Childhood Education and Development.
Curriculum
Our Preschool curriculum will consist of:
- Socialization
- Music and movement
- Creative expression and art
- Sensory awareness
- Science and health
- Large and small motor development
- Language and reading.
We will also be incorporating age appropriate biblical Christian lessons. We want to spread the love of Jesus and teach the children how loved they are by Jesus and that they are a child of God.
We use "Brightwheel", the leading Childcare Software, as a communication resource with our parents!
